That Rick Bayless interview we mentioned earlier, in which he insulted the quality of the SF food scene, also featured his comments on Aziza: "What Mourad [Lahlou] is doing there seems to be moving in the direction of Noma. His food is very different than the last time I was there." Bayless also noted that SF food "is incredibly steeped in Italian food. For starters, everyone has pasta and pizza on their menu. You don't see that in Chicago." As we've learned in the past, it is a bad idea to piss off Mourad Lahlou on Twitter; his none-too-pleased response is at right (click to blow it up).
