It's hard to quantify exactly how much time, effort and creative energy go into the opening of a restaurant, but Chefs Feed's video of the construction of The Progress sums it up pretty well. Their video team spent six months alongside chefs Stuart Brioza and Nicole Krasinski, embedded in the thick of the construction process from start to finish. The short film gives an interesting glimpse into the creative process that chefs go through during the construction of a new space, particularly when those chefs are as invested in the details as Brioza and Krasinski.
Follow the journey as the crew takes the historic building from bare studs and rotting wood to the final application of 250 pounds of glitter to the infamous "disco bathrooms," described by Brioza as "My Little Pony with a little LSD action going on." The result is an airy, textured space that "superseded any of our ideas of what it would look like and feel like," says Krasinski. Adds Brioza, "It feels as if it's been here for years."
