In the past few months, nearly every week of the openings or coming attractions roundups has included a new beer garden or brewery. Since June 1, five have opened, bringing 2016’s count up to eight. Plus, there are 12 more scheduled to arrive in the coming months — and that’s not even counting established favorites like 21st Amendment, Cellarmaker, Magnolia, Anchor, Thirsty Bear, and much, much more.
This is hardly a new trend to the Bay Area. In 2013, we ran a map of new and forthcoming Bay Area beer spots with a whopping 27 places. Can Bay Area beer nerds sustain them all? Only time will tell. For now, check out the list below of a status update of the Bay Area’s beer scene, with what has opened in 2016, and what’s to come.
