Thanksgiving weekend normally marks a peak in the oyster season, but not this year. And it's your fault: "'Restaurant orders for Thanksgiving weekend weren't as big as I expected,' said Hog Island Oyster Company Farm Manager Erik Schlagenhaus. The number of visitors to Hog Island is down too, and Schlagenhaus blames that on misguided public perception. He says Tomales Bay oysters are not only safe to eat, but they're in their prime right now." [KCBS]
