Senor Bauer revisits the reservations "controversy" and defends SPQR's no-resy policy but for some reason, knocks NYC's Spotted Pig's no-resy policy: "... [Jeanne Seet, the manager of the Spotted Pig] explained their no reservation policy by using Chez Panisse for comparison. She said she recently tried to book a table there and had to make the reservation a month in advance. 'So here we are, just as busy and just as hot,' she said in the article. 'But if you are willing to wait, you can dine here tonight. So what's better? Chez Panisse a month from now or Spotted Pig tonight?' Personally, I'd take Chez Panisse a month from now." Snap!
