Black Thursday: V-Day Horror Stories Wanted
Thursday, February 14, 2008

So, it's Valentine's Day. We're all for romance and everything, but dining out on Valentine's Day is a shitshow, despite the picturesque V-Day promos from the likes of the Carnelian Room, above. Sure, nearly every restaurant has some sort of special champagne-lobster prix fixe extravaganza on tap for tonight, but in reality, it's one of the worst nights of the year to dine out. The necessary evil of Black Thursday is guaranteed to be rife with overpriced menus, overbooked restaurants, overworked staff and perhaps most detrimental, obnoxious couples who should never, ever be allowed to dine in public. On that note, we want to hear your tales from the evening (good, bad and ugly), so please do indulge us and pass along your V-Day experiences to sf@eater.com.
