Speaking of Mint Plaza, Patricia Unterman—perhaps setting a precedent of sorts—takes the review circuit to the caffeine world in taking a look at Blue Bottle Cafe. And well, she wouldn't review a coffeehouse unless it struck her as particularly magnificent, and according to her, Blue Bottle has redefined the "upper limit" of coffee as we know it: "The combination of artisan coffee, meticulously made cafe bites, a pioneering location in an alleyway and an uplifting, eco-sensitive space, makes Blue Bottle Cafe the iconic coffee house for the 21st century...Blue Bottle Café is worth a special trip."
