The Eater Oddsmakers are on the money, and Los Bauer has 2.5 stars for Ola Fendert's Local, pointing out the ways in which new restaurants are now defining their neighborhoods: "If Local is the embodiment of the emerging neighborhood, then you can deduce that the residents are young - or at least young-looking - professional and affluent, a mix between the denizens of the Marina and Los Angeles, with a generous dash of Silicon Valley folks ... This place may exude a strong neighborhood vibe, but it's overlaid with a see-and-be-seen edge. In both food and decor, the restaurant effortlessly mixes the refined and the rustic." [Chron]
