Curbed Rumblings: Goodbye Levi's, Hello SoMa Grand
Friday, June 27, 2008, by Paolo

It's Friday afternoon, and time to check in on the past week's happenings at our sister site and friendly neighborhood blog, Curbed SF.

1) Based on Battery Street since the Civil War, Levi Strauss has decided to up and leave for bluer pastures in Oakland.
2) We don't know what's more curious: that the under-renovation Safeway (pictured) looks eerily similar to Poland circa 1946 or that there's an entire section devoted to dry dog food.
3) Come the autumnal months, the SoMa Grand will still host Charles Phan, but Curbed Operatives stopped by the development to discuss the state of SoMa. Turns out there might be a homeless problem there.
4) San Francisco ranked sixth in the nation for design. And the crowd went wild.
