For the August issue of Food & Wine, Thomas McNamee tags along at Chris Cosentino's "cowboy picnic" up at Prather Ranch and discovers, among other things: that life on the ranch can be pretty damn idyllic, bone marrow is God's butter, Cosentino's got mad skill on the grill, Michael Recchiuti is an ideal dessert supplier, and finally, that real cowboys drink rosé.
