Welcome back to the Plywood Report, your regular, all-encompassing chronicle of the next generation of restaurants and bars to grace our fair city. Notice something on your block? Let us know. Bonus points and maybe some gold stars if you include photos.
1) SoMa: There's fresh liquor license activity right next door to Kate O'Brien's on Howard, between First and Second. The DBA of the new venture is Eve, and the name on the application—something called LBCO, Inc.—don't offer up any clues either. Anyone have the deets? Operators standing by. [PLYWOOD]
2) Polk Gulch: Sadly, Polk Street fave Tajine shuttered earlier this month, but a replacement is already on the way. It's called City Kebab, and the goodbye note by the Tajine folks implores their old customers to support the Mediterranean restaurant. [PLYWOOD]
3) FiDi: A tipster sends along the fun shot of the exterior at longtime plywood regular Midi. The big Perry's sign has been taken down, but the interior remains heavy in construction. Meanwhile, the construction workers seen above are doing what they do best. [PLYWOOD]
