The past few days have already seen a cornucopia of significant newcomers in Heaven's Dog, Pinkberry and Calafia, but the openings just keep coming. Have another debut to report to The Dish? You know the number.
1) The Mission: At press time, there's "a chance" that Mini will be open tonight as originally scheduled. If not, the wine and champagne bar next door to Esperpento will likely debut tomorrow. Aside from the aforementioned libations, the 12-seat spot will also offer a cheese plate, charcuterie plate, pate plate (pate is the new charcuterie?), mini sandwiches and "surprise canapes" to wash down the bubbly. 3282 22nd Street, between Valencia and Mission [EaterWire]
2) Polk Gulch: A quick turnaround has gone down at the former Tajine space on Polk Street, where City Kebab is already open. As you may be able to gather from the name, it's a Mediterranean kebab joint. 1338 Polk Street, between Pine and Bush; (415) 440-4410 [EaterWire]
3) Hayes Valley: You can count on the Daily Candy for your macaron patisserie breaking news: "If this is an invasion, we’ll welcome it avec plaisir at Paulette Macarons, opening today in Hayes Valley. The sliver of a shop, SF’s outpost of the beloved L.A. patisserie, will serve the all-natural mini Parisian desserts, handmade daily in Beverly Hills and shipped fresh to us." Well at least they are shipped fresh. 437 Hayes Street, at Gough; (415) 864-2400; website [DC]
4) Hayes Valley: The shuttered Octavia Lounge space is reborn in a new form, called Triple Crown, and they're already promising to bring back the unlimited booze brunches. According to the website, Wednesday nights are, ahem, "lounge nights"... with no cover and everything. 1760 Market Street, at Octavia; (415) 863-3516; website [EaterWire]
