Final Day For Green Chile Kitchen Before Wednesday Move

2009_10_gck.jpg
Tell the original GCK goodbye.

Today marks the swan song for Green Chile Kitchen in its current shoebox on the corner of Fulton and McAllister Baker, but the popular neighborhood joint won't be gone for long—one day only, to be precise. In what should be a very efficient switcheroo, the new location—just down the block at Baker and McAllister—will open this Wednesday. Aside from the sequel's increased square footage in both the dining room and kitchen, there will be an expanded menu at GCK2, including ... a burger. As for the old space, owner Trevor Logan is holding onto it with possibilities including a dessert spot.
