Coming soon to SoMa's South Park micro-neighborhood is The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen, which will be exactly what it sounds like: a grilled cheese specialist. It's the brainchild of Heidi Gibson, who is somewhat of a famous and decorated grilled cheese maker. The restaurant will located right on South Park Avenue on the Second Street side (Suite 103, to be exact), will have a beer/wine license, and from the looks of the menu experimentation, will serve a variety of soups and gourmet sandwiches (example: butternut squash, italian fontina and gruyere). The ETA is set for winter.
