Joshua Skenes is so stoked on Saison's new outdoor wood-burning hearth and bread baking oven, that he's inviting some of his chef buddies in to help him with three "fire dinners" in the coming months. Those chef buddies happen to be Jeremy Fox of the highly anticipated Plum, Mourad Lahlou of Iron Chef and the Michelin-starred Aziza and Food & Wine Best New Chef 2009 Christopher Kostow of the Michelin two-starred Restaurant at Meadowood. Yeah. Each special dinner will be an eight-course affair with wine pairings by sommelier Mark Bright.
For the first dinner in the series on Aug. 18th, Skenes will cook with Jeremy Fox; and the meal will probably have a lot of flavorful vegetables included. Then on Tuesday, Sept. 7th, Mourad Lahlou will be in the house; and finally Chris Kostow will wrap things up on Oct. 12th. We're telling you about this ASAP because we imagine the seats won't be around for long; each dinner is $98 (and an additional $88 with wine pairings) and we've provided a link to the Web site, should you wish to make a reservation.
