CIVIC CENTER - This Thursday the Asian Art Museum is celebrating the cuisine of Shanghai and it's rich tradition of food marinated in wine with an event called Matcha in partnership with the Asian Culinary Forum. Chef Nei Chia Ji of Chinatown tasting menu destination, Jai Yun, and TV star and cookbook author Martin Yan will be in the house for a talk and cooking demo. EMBARCADERO - Today Traci Des Jardins' Public House will start doing three- of four-course beer dinners every third Thursday of the month. Each dish is paired with a different beer and you don't even need to make a res to attend one; although they are being served on a first come, first served basis from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tonight's featured brewery is Escondido's Stone Brewing Company and the whole meal is $40.
