In April, St. Mary's Pub came onto the scene with a new look, a juke box and a pinball machine. Maria Davis and Jimmy Driscoll had taken over their neighborhood haunt, hell-bent on creating "the best new old bar in San Francisco." Now take a look at their revamp here, complete with hardwood oak floors, red banquettes and barstools, a royal blue ice cream paint job and a caramel-colored faux tin acoustic-tiled ceiling. Rather posh for a former dive, eh? The pool table is a leftover from the old days, but let's get to the point.
This brand new bloody Mary menu debuted Sunday and shall be served every Sunday going forward. The list of seven includes riffs like the Florentine Mary made with homemade sun-dried tomato-basil pesto and an Inferno Mary made with homemade habanero hot sauce. If all this goes over well, Bloody Sunday will become a Saturday thing too. See the Facebook page for more details and daily drink specials.
