Today Esquire magazine releases its list of 2011 best new restaurants, and writer John Mariani awards Michael Mina as the restaurant of the year. Design of the year also went to a local winner, Twenty Five Lusk. The other local mention of note is Cotogna, which was included in the list of 20 Best New Restaurants across America. Curiously, Mariani calls out Esquire: Eat Like a Man as one of the six books in his "Best New Cookbooks" listicle, which might make people wonder what exactly goes into the decision making process over at Esquire HQ. Still, congrats are in order on the home front. See all of Esquire's Best New Restaurants of 2011 over at Eater National. [-EN-]
