Former San Francisco restaurant inspector Clifton Sanders is being charged today on multiple counts, including bribery for accepting money from restaurant owners in exchange for passing inspections. He and a nameless partner in crime have been accused of accepting up to $200 from hundreds of restaurants in the Bay Area "as recently as three years ago." But no need to stay up at night about it: "The alleged bribes did not create a food safety scare since the restaurants involved have since been properly inspected." [CBS]
