Just as the rumors start trickling in over the Eater Wire, Sgr. Lucchesi reveals the latest on The Corner and Weird Fish. Both restaurants are being sold to Peter Hood—who was one of the original partners and left in 2009 to run Boogaloos—and chef Ryan Simas, who will continue his post as chef de cuisine at Farallon while helping Hood with these new projects. The Corner will be turning into a “neighborhood European style cafe,” called The Perch. Meanwhile, Weird Fish fans shouldn't fret too much. Here, changes will be less drastic as the concept morphs into Dante's Weird Fish, reverting back to its original menu of pescatarian-, vegan- and vegetarian-friendly options. Both restaurants will source produce from departed partner Tim Hood's Roshambo Farms in Healdsburg.

Weird Fish's last day >>

Expect Weird Fish to close this Saturday, allowing time for a few interior tweaks and the necessary permits to come through. It should reopen in early to mid-March. The Perch's debut will happen about two months thereafter, complete with minor decor refinements and the aforementioned totally new Euro small plates shtick.
