Spotted: Star of India Interior (With Fish Tank?)

Via the Eater Inbox, this is a photo of the current scene at Polk Street's Star of India, scene of the big fire last month. The wreckage remains inside, and even though the damage was centered in the rear kitchen, it doesn't appear that it will be reopening in any form anytime soon. While there's obviously nothing funny about the tragic fire, like our tipster, we've got myriad questions regarding the fish tank. Did it survive the fire? Did someone put it in, post-fire? Is anyone feeding the fish? The mind reels.
By the way, Pasha (shuttered since the fire) is hoping to reopen with its complete remodeling in "the next two weeks or so." Stay tuned...

Polk Street Fire Aftermath: Pasha Down For the Month, Nicky's Back Today
The restaurant fallout continues from last week's deadly fire at Russian Hill's Star of India. While the Indian restaurant that housed the fire shan't be reopening anytime in the near future, the rest of restaurants on the block are in various states of repair.

1) Pasha: After soot and other fire debris crashed down through the skylight at Pasha, original estimates saw the Moroccan restaurant on the corner of Broadway and Polk reopening within days. Unfortunately, the new prognosis is that Pasha will be closed for at least three more weeks as they have to completely remodel the affected area. Tough break for the restaurant and its brand new owners. [Eater Staff]

1) Star of India: Now that more details are coming out about the deadly early morning fire at Star India, it doesn't look like the Indian joint will be reopening any time soon. A tipster on the scene says that everything from the kitchen is more or less either totally incinerated or in scraps on the street. The firemen destroyed the facade to enter the building, but the dining room damage could have been worse. SFGate has the photo essay. [EaterWire Inbox, Chron]
2) Pasha: While the bagel shop next door didn't even notice the fire, Moroccan restaurant Pasha sustained enough damage to warrant closing for at least several days: "The fire also caused substantial smoke damage to some of the surrounding businesses, including the Pasha Restaurant, a Moroccan restaurant on Broadway Street. Smith said that restaurant will have to remain closed until it has been cleaned. Co-owner Hickham Senhaji said he hoped to only remain shuttered for about four days. Senhaji said smoke poured into the restaurant through a skylight, dumping black soot all over the kitchen and dining room." [Chron]
