Fro-Yo Wars, Part II: A Darkhorse Emerges

The "future of dessert" lies in the Fillmore District. Of course it does.

Yesterday we commenced the fro-yo war mongering by discussing the first pair of San Francisco yogurteers, Yogurt Bar and Honeydoo. Ah, but while Yogurt Bar and Honeydoo enjoy their respective spotlights of the Marina and North Beach, a new challenger lurks in the shadows of the once-dingy, now-fashionable Fillmore District: introducing Jubili, opening this Saturday (October 6th) at 1515 Fillmore St, just off the corner of O'Farrell. A soft opening will take place during the week, and from our experience, the folks there are pretty nice, so you might want to drop in and say hi. They're offering the standard frozen yogurt, but instead of just fresh fruit atop your tangy dairy product, they took a cue from NYC and added the cereal component.

Oh, and the official website proclaims Jubili as the "future of dessert," so they've got that going. Which is nice.
