Not only did last week's incendiary front-page article about the lack of cooks and $80,000 waiter salaries result about a cornucopia of backlash in blogland, but some people actually wrote in to the Chronicle instead of posting a response on the internet. We've even got some conspiracy theories: "You say that cooks' wages are "frozen" at $10 to $15 an hour because servers are making the minimum wage. This is propaganda that a handful of local restaurant owners have been spewing for years - trying to pit their workforces against each other in order to drive down labor costs." [Chron]
