As reported earlier, the end of November will see Luisa Hanson taking over the space that currently houses Cow Hollow sushi joint SkipJack Sushi. Today, Eater has learned more details regarding the takeover. SkipJack Sushi, currently enjoying prime real estate on the heavily-trafficked Union Street, will change its name to Umi and move shop to ... the old San Francisco Thai Bar-B-Que space on 1328 18th Street in Potrero Hill. Nothing against Potrero Hill—we love it there actually—but in terms of business, that, folks, is what some may call a location downgrade. Here's hoping Umi can carve out a nice neighborhood niche; expect an opening in early 2008.
