The Shutter is your regular dose of restaurant and bar closings around town. The City is unforgiving when it comes to restaurants, so do share you sightings.
Last month, we reported that Hayes Valley's Zoya was due to shutter sometime in the late fall/early winter, and now specific dates are starting to unfold. It seems that the husband-and-wife owner team of John Kim and Tracey Ballard-Kim are just waiting on escrow to close before taking a long-anticipated vacation with their kids. They expect to officially shutter sometime in the first week of December, and no later than the second week. But they aren't done with the restaurant biz quite yet, as they are currently looking for a new space for Zoya.
