While not a complete ban like New York, San Francisco is considering rewarding restaurants that voluntarily abandon transfats: "Supporters of the program, endorsed by the Golden Gate Restaurant Association and the Chamber of Commerce, believe dining establishments—especially high-end ones—will gladly comply.
