The word from the folks at Local Kitchen and Wine Merchant is that following some soft openings and F&F trial-runs this upcoming weekend, the official grand opening is set for Wednesday, December 5th. By now, you know the deal: Local is the John Stricklin-designed restaurant/wine bar by Ola Fendert and Maria Hilario-Fendert, both of Oola fame. Mark Bright is handling sommelier duties and heading the connected wine shop. The cuisine is Cal-Ital, and there's the always-fun aspect of a wood-fired oven.
