Luisa Cometh: Rumblings at Hanson Colonies

New, 1 comment

Yes, that's a Luisa Hanson sticker adorning the window.

Via a Nob Hill tipster comes word that work—or something resembling it—has begun on the corner of California and Larkin, where the Luisa Hanson machine has colonized the former spaces of the Front Room and John Barleycorn Pub. It remains to be seen what exactly Hanson has planned for the space, but considering her track record—by one count: 25 restaurants attempted, two open—it's probably unwise to hold your breath for the arrival of something new at 1500 California Street. Plus, there's the small matter of both spaces looking like leftovers from the Great Depression:

The Front Room space right next door: 1500 California Street.
