Hayes Valley Quite Possibly Colorblind

The sunglasses! They do nothing!

Coming in the wake of the very green exterior of La Boulange de Hayes, we may have a second Hayes Valley assault on diners' rods and cones at Bar Jules, above. The construction folks did warn us that these colors weren't final, and they haven't done anything with the facade yet. Preliminary paint selection aside, the space itself looks very promising. Looking into the room, to the right is the pictured little cafe area with bench and to the left is a developing bar area. Walnut-capped tables will be involved as well, and there appears to be a back room. Late November is the word. As for the colors, maybe they'll look better in the full context of things. Maybe.
