CHAINSVILLEForbes reports that IHOP—your one-stop destination for funnel cake in the city at 2am—will franchise "a substantial majority" of Applebee's restaurants. The $2.1 billion acquisition is expected to close at the end of the month. No word on how the move will affect the Applebee's in San Rafael's Northgate mall, but be prepared for the worst, Marinites. POLK GULCH—Korean BBQ fave Hahn's Hibachi (1710 Polk St) will soon be expanding next door in the 1712 space. Work is underway, and the expansion will allow for a bigger dining room with more seats (duh). In about a month or so, Hahn's will close for "hopefully less than a week" to put the final touches on the new and improved joint. Stay tuned. [EaterWire]

NOB HILL—It's Wild Game Week at the Huntington Hotel. Among others, on the menu are the following carnivorous delights that will make you feel like Ernest Hemingway: Himalayan yak, black buck antelope, caribou and buffalo. [EaterWire Inbox, Official Site]
