On Monday, we shared a bit of preliminary news concerning Press Club, Yerba Buena Lane's "urban tasting room" due to arrive sometime in the springtime. Now, as more details trickle out, the Press Club folks want everyone to know that Press Club is not—repeat: not—just another wine bar. Rather, the 9,000-square-foot space will be a centralized location for multiple wineries to provide individual tasting rooms. A sextet of wineries—listed on the website—have already signed on, and for some of them who don't have public tasting rooms in their wineries, Press Club will be the only place to sample their offerings. Furthermore, each winery will have its own designated area within the multi-storied club, making it almost like a mini-tour of Napa Valley (sans wine train probably) and "a true wine experience" ... not a wine bar.
