FINANCIAL DISTRICT—Initial estimates regarding last night's kitchen fire at Globe appear to have been overly optimistic, as headman Joseph Manzare tells the Inside Scoop that his restaurant will likely be closed "from two weeks to two months." The fire, though small, was apparently plenty damaging for Globe; was it Frost who said the world ends with a whimper, not a bang? [Chron]

THE MISSION—Lady Hopstress has the details on yet another gourmet coffee bar. Fourbarrelcoffee is coming to Valencia & 15th, much to the delight of connoisseurs/hipsters everywhere: "The concept is more coffee bar than café, with some seating, but it will primarily be a space to showcase their coffee to wholesale clients (and people obsessed with coffee) ... There will be two La Marzocco Mistral machines, the only ones in California. Fourbarrelcoffee will be sourcing single origin coffees, and doing their own espresso blend." As always, more details can be had at 'Hopper HQ. [Tablehopper]
