Plywood Report PM Edition: A Peek at the Mint Plaza Doings

1) SoMa: An Eater tipster at the original Chez Papa in Potrero Hill reveals that the downtown branch of Chez Papa will most likely be the first restaurant to open in the new Mint Plaza, though the mid-September unveiling has been pushed back once again: "Right now, we are anticipating early October or maybe late September." 2) More SoMa: After Chez Papa, Sushi Groove Midtown--we prefer to continue calling it Sushi Groove IV, but whatever--will open on the corner of 5th in the old El Balazo space. According to Tablehopper, we should expect a mid-October opening for the 60-seat restaurant that looks like it will have a DJ booth in the lounge area and a heat lamp-laden outdoor bar area.
