Like the time your grandma "learned computers" and GW's explanation of "the Google," there's something a bit unsettling about older folks getting involved in the interwebs. So, when Fior d'Italia, the (alleged) oldest Italian restaurant in America made its blog live yesterday, we felt slightly confused.
After all, Fior d'Italia already gets great business, puts out an admirable product, is firmly entrenched in San Francisco food lore and has a shiny website of its own. Does it really need The Fabulous Fior Weblog to sing its praises and announce a Rudy Giuliani visit?
Call us crazy, but we prefer our restaurateur blogs to be a little, ahem, nuttier.
