At this time, we'd like to extend you a warm welcome to Eater SF, the very latest in restaurant blogging technology and your new one-stop shop for all things related to dining and drinking in San Francisco. It's taken us a while to get here, in part because, we'll be frank, San Francisco is a serious place when it comes to restaurants. We don't half-ass the eating here, so we didn't want to half-ass Eater either. (So, for those that have been waiting, we thank you for your patience.)
The quick back story on Eater: we've been wreaking havoc in New York for two years and just down the coast in Los Angeles since November of last year. Here, you're going to get obsessive coverage of restaurants, bars, chefs and the assorted other characters who make the business tick. You'll also get the very best of what the rest of the web is serving up, by way of links as far as the eye can see. Now and then, when you're lucky, we're going to get Bobby Flay's panties in a bunch for you. If it's not on Eater, you don't have to know about it.
The press has been kind to us now and again, if you're curious about that sort of thing. But, how's about we just get going? Your editor, to whom we now turn over the wheel, is Paolo Lucchesi (contact info: paolo@eater.com). He is already pleased to bring you such goodness as Eater Inside, our regular photo profile of new venues, gobs of Plywood, which is our way of keeping you appraised of venues on the horizon, and a little recurring fun we're going to call Yelp Wanted. Brace, indeed.
