A recurring feature brought to you with the help of Christine Kesler, Eater Inside showcases the interior space of high-profile, recently-opened restaurants—or, in this case, an almost-opened restaurant.

Opening for both lunch and dinner on October 1st on the promenade level of 4 Embarcadero Center, Sens is the combined effort of a veritable cornucopia of San Francisco heavyhitters. Executive Chef Michael Dotson (formerly of Kokkari, Evvia and Plumpjack) will be heading the lineup, along with fellow Evvia vet GM/sommelier Saeed Amini and pastry chef virtuoso—and avid blogger— Shuna Fish Lydon, whose resume boasts the French Laundry, Bouchon, Aziza and Citizen Cake. If the rumors of Dotson and Lydon meeting at the Ferry Building (just across the street from Sens) are true, lots of seasonal, sustainable menu items can be expected, and if the above pic is any indication, the interior reflects the chic yet cozy southern Mediterranean theme. Start your engines, kids.
