It's no secret that when it comes to food and dining, the Bay carries a certain reputation, but for better or worse, we have a feeling that the new coffee campaign by McDonald's—the one that's supposed to worry Starbucks—is going to have a rougher go here than elsewhere: "'I can't imagine going for a coffee in a place that smells like junk food,' said Ilan Twig, a 34-year-old software company manager meeting a friend at Starbucks at Wolfe Road and Homestead Avenue in Cupertino.
