Joey Altman—he of local television fame—has been hired by Joie de Vivre to consult on the hospitality group's new Oakland purchase (Jack London Square's Waterfront Plaza Hotel) and also to invent a new cuisine: "Joie de Vivre President and CEO Chip Conley said Altman's energy and enthusiasm will be assets in reworking the Oakland hotel's restaurant. It formerly was known as Jack's Bistro ...
