The rare moment in time when a report of a closure coincides with news of the space's future resident? It's something we like to call Shutterwood; this is one of those times.
We're not quite sure if a wine bar arriving in San Francisco is even news anymore, but at 1870 Fillmore Street (right off Bush), Trio Cafe has shuttered. In its place will be Wine Jar, a wine bar planning on the (seemingly) typical offerings: California and international wines, finger food, etc. They are aiming for a quick turnaround—hoping to be open in two weeks—and will add yet another newbie to an area that already boasts a future denizen list of Out the Door, Pizzeria Delfina, among several others.
