WESTFIELD—After notching an impressive number of awards in the year past, Lark Creek Steak will be losing its chef Jeremy Bearman to the temptation of the Big Apple. According to The Times, Bearman will be taking on the first American branch of Brussels restaurant Rouge Tomate. According to a source at Lark Creek, his last day at the restaurant will be January 18th. No word yet on a possible replacement. [NYT, EaterWire]

THE SUNSET—San Jose's Boiling Crawfish location on Irving is officially a go. They'll take the former Ha's Restaurant space, and with a shiny new liquor license in hand, are aiming at a January 16th opening. Dinner will be served nightly, with brunch/lunch offerings on the weekends. The menu will be, for all intents and purposes, similar to the one at the original location, which has received fairly unkind reviews thus far. Good Creole cooking is hard to come by in California, no? [EaterWire]
