It's a bit out of the Eater coverage zone, but Michel Richard's Carmel branch of Citronelle is nearing completion: "Renowned chef Michel Richard is partnering with Carmel Valley Ranch, 1 Old Ranch Road in Carmel, to oversee all culinary aspects of the ranch-style resort, including a new signature restaurant. Citronelle by Michel Richard is expected to open next month when the Carmel Valley retreat completes its $60 million renovation. The restaurant will be the West Coast version of Richard's acclaimed Citronelle restaurant in Washington, D.C." For those unfamiliar with Richard, just know that he likes ratatouille.
