The Shutter: 222 Club, La Boulange de Polk

Your regular dosage of restaurant and bar closings around town arrives via The Shutter. Notice a place that has recently closed its doors? Do share your sightings.

1) Tenderloin: Right on schedule, the recently-bought 222 Club has reached the end of the line, much to the chagrin of many loyalists. The closing is especially ironic given this ode to "timeless" TL dive bars, but one thing we will say, though, is that we would love to see Cafe Gratitude incorporate some of 222's menu items. 2) Russian Hill: Also closed is the original La Boulange de Polk, which has been in the process of moving next door for a few weeks now. The newer, bigger and greener version is due to open Monday and as seen in the hiatus note, will have expanded hours. [ShutterWire]
