The Merc makes a rare trip to the big city to take a look at the inconsistent (and often-empty) Yerba Buena offshoot of Amber India: "Some dishes arrived at the table barely lukewarm, others charred. Another night, the waitstaff delivered our bill without asking if we wanted dessert. This is heresy in my book. To be fair, all the waiters were charming and helpful and quick to rectify most mistakes. But time and again, little inconsistencies detracted from the evening's pleasure." [SJMN]
