Balloons: the telltale sign of a grand opening.

The Mission: You may want to sit down for this: last night, Pizzeria—that Valencia Street project of the year-plus delays—finally and officially opened. Vibrant balloons lined the sidewalk, prompting surprised/confused Missionites to stop and peek at the menu before they went on their merry ways. When our Eater Correspondent dropped by at approximately 8pm, sure the dining room was mostly devoid of patrons, but we were told that the chairs did look quite comfortable. 659 Valencia Street, between 16th and 17th; (415) 701-7492
