Berkeley's Mint Leaf may have opened earlier this year with the puzzling gimmick of an Indian wine bar, but it's steadily evolved into an Indian restaurant with an Enomatic machine and a penchant for the required 15 pieces of flair (minimum): "The number of wines offered on the menu has shrunk to 10, and waiters don't explain the options regarding wine tasting. The food at Mint Leaf is Indian with what the menu describes as 'innovative, creative flair.' This flair usually takes the form of a California flourish ... By and large, it's best to avoid the flair here." [CCT]
