Meanwhile in Marin: Scott Howard Out at Left Bank

Larkspur: Pretty much everyone knew that it was only a matter of time before Scott Howard put the kibosh on his gig at Left Bank Brasserie. This is that time:

...as of last Saturday, seven months in, [Howard] has moved on to pursue something more permanent. His plans aren't set yet, but he hopes to be back in action after the new year. "I'm looking at several new opportunities," he says.

La Folie vet Sean Canavan will replace Howard. Despite mostly-positive reviews (though interestingly, no Chron update review), it's not a surprising move for Howard, who we can't imagine wanted to be beholden to the brasserie menu at the mini-chain. PS: Larkspur, we hope you enjoyed your seven months on the culinary map.
