The Chron finally files on Acquacotta, the Alameda restaurant from Oliveto vet John Couacaud that has (undeservedly) flown largely under the dining radar until now: "Couacaud shows off his best work with pastas and main courses. There wasn't a miss among any we tried over the course of three visits ... Acquacotta offers the kind of food that distinguishes the Bay Area's quality neighborhood places." End result: Miriam Morgan doles out a positive, if standard, 2.5 stars stamp. [Chron]
