When the DOH Strikes

New, 1 comment

Up in Napa, Dario Sattui's storied Castello di Amorosa has a vineyard, 107 rooms, a dungeon, and a torture chamber, but it's technically not supposed to have a kitchen: a civil lawsuit is being brought against Sattui because he's using the castle kitchen without permits, and "without protection from 'birds and vermin' and failing to properly clean and sanitize all plates, utensils and equipment, plus not having handwashing stations equipped with soap and hot water for employees." He's facing $45,000 in fines. [NVR]
