Coming on the heels of the Chron's Monk's Kettle review, today The Punter does a little gastropubbing of her own at the new Magnolia. Like Monk's, Magnolia stars in the beer arena and has some service issues, but Brandon Jew's sausages shine: "But Jew's sausages are something else entirely, their recipes devised to be both beer-friendly and cutting-edge clean ... The only part of the operation that needs some attention is the inconsistent, overly casual service — though everyone can and does enthusiastically talk beer." [SFE]
