AWARDS— The polls for 7x7's annual Eat + Drink Awards are officially up and running. The deadline for ballot submission is December 15, and the winners are revealed in the February '09 issue. THE MISSION—All kinds of festivities are going down at Elixir over the next few weeks. First, owner H. Joseph Ehrmann celebrates his fifth anniversary of owning the joint on November 22nd with a Celebrity Chef BBQ featuring Justin Deering (Conduit) and Scott Youkilis (Maverick). Then, there will be a "Prohibition era-themed party" with a 1933 cocktail menu. Rounding out the events is a 150th anniversary party that will be a Victorian Era-themed party and will cost $100. THE INTERWEBS— OpenTable now has a new app for the iPhone. Per the release: "OpenTable for iPhone allows diners to check the real-time availability of multiple restaurants in the area, get the restaurants’ location, make free, confirmed reservations, and then follow directions to the restaurant."
